Hi,

I'm currently developping a kind of connected classroom for my student. As we don't have wifi hotspot at school, I decided to create a local network that allow me to share webpages (javascript animations) and light pdf documents.

In order to realize this project, I tried to créate a hotspot with my pc (as you can imagine, the experiment went wrong...). So, I need a wifi router which can handle 30+ simultaneous connections (android tablets). And all of this on a budget...

Can someone tell me if the tp-link archer c50 or c60 can handle 30+ devices simultaneously on an access point ?

Thank you !

@Tybs

Thanks for your requesting, the Archer C50 adn C60 can handle 30+ devices simultaneously; while it is recommended to connect no more than 15-20 devices to ensure the performance. With more devices connected, the performance will be affected a lot, including the speed and stability.

May it help.

@Kevin_Z

Thanks for your answer. As I said, I will probably not stream videos so speed won't be an issue, I think (500 kB/s is more than enough per devices). When you are talking about stability, do you mean that the router itself can crash ? Or some devices may not connect to the router ?

Thanks again !

@Tybs

Thanks for your reply.

The speed and stability are related to each other, without heavy traffic activities, the stability of router would be better; theoretically, you can give it a go by orderring Archer C50 and set it up as an access point.

Note: You can verify the warranty/return policy first, if it does not work properly, you still can return it to avoid potential loss.

Good day.
